Afghan Goo Strain
Afghan Goo, also known as “Afgooey,” is a potent indica dominant hybrid strain. This bud is made by crossing Afghan #1 with Maui Haze. This deliciously gassy strain delivers a wide array of physical and cerebral effects. With THC levels topping off at 27%, this strain is best enjoyed later on during the day when you can fully relax. We really enjoyed the smoke on this one. Its piney resinous build up on the joint, along with the ultra diesel flavour makes this a treat for any indica lover.
Strain Effects
As an indica dominant hybrid, Afghan Goo delivers a balanced range of effects. Due to its potent THC level, this strain is very useful at treating symptoms of insomnia, depression and anxiety. The onset comes in almost immediately after the first few tokes. An euphoric giggle fit lifts your mood, while at the same time, a relaxation sensation lulls you into the nearest couch. The dominant terpene is myrcene, more closely associated with the herbal and piney taste in cannabis. This terpene is also known for producing the so called “couch lock” effect. In addition to having a potent THC level, Afghan Goo contains about 6% CBD. This gives Afghan Goo enhanced powers at providing relief with inflammation and anxiety.
Aroma and Appearance
The name Afgooey comes from the fact that the nugs are so sticky and resinous that they become glued to your hands. We are happy to say that this description is pretty spot on for this batch. As you break apart the nugs, a strong scent of floral gas is accented with a faint backdrop of fruity hash. The flavour transition is quiet smooth. The earthy diesel aroma converts seamlessly into a spicy woody taste upon the exhale. The bag appeal of Afghan Goo is the last notable thing we have to mention. The buds well moisturized, with the perfect density composition. Perky pistils with its fiery amber hairs peer out the outer frosty coating.
